This album has been two years in the making and has been an exploration of new sonic territory for me, which I think (/hope) comes through when listening. Throughout the writing process, whilst trying to maintain the essence of (what I think is) my sound, I experimented a great deal in the aim of making the most diverse (and hopefully original) music I have created to date.
The main concept of this album originates from the idea that our dreams are a (re)formation of our experiences and are inextricably influenced by what we have witnessed. Whilst asleep, we become a passenger on a journey of unknown fate, during which anything and everything seems impossibly plausible. Dreams often range from blissfully sublime to unsettlingly post-apocalyptic and it is this sentiment that I have tried to convey throughout this album.
It also gives me great pleasure to announce the collaboration on one of the tracks (track 6, ‘Sonder’) on this album with Chris Anderson (aka Echo Grid), an artist (and now friend) I respect and admire greatly. A huge thank you to him for lending his sonic gift.
The artwork for this album has been designed by the exceptionally talented Tom Box (boxillustration.com
). He took my frankly random vision and esoteric suggestions and created something beautiful and completely fitting. A big thank you to him as well for his aesthetic touch. I must also thank Hawkar Mohammed, a very skilled and humble individual, for designing the unique logo for this project of mine.
As with all my music, this album is free to download and comes with a digital copy of the album artwork. If you wish to pay any amount for the album, that money will go straight back into my music fund so I can keep on making music and exploring new sounds.
This album has taken me a long time craft around a busy life schedule including moving abode three times, travelling abroad, finishing up a medical degree and attempting to not totally infuriate my friends and family through self-imposed social isolation in an attempt to actually complete this album ha. I have pored every particle of myself into its creation and I hope you can hear just how much I truly love making music. Thank you to everyone that has listened to me drone on about this for the past couple of years, I appreciate it greatly.
